Dundee housing Tenants demand a voice
2008-05-11 09:33

Dundee tenants of council housing on Saturday defied attempts by Dundee City Council to prevent a voice to their views in the city square about the need for the town council to provide decent affordable social housing in the city and not demolish empty houses that should be refurbished for needy people like the homeless. Dundee Independent Housing Action Group also call for an end in Dundee to the sale of the city's council housing stock. Public sector housing in Dundee which used to amount to 62% is today only 20%. This is despite a demand from families and the homeless for affordable social housing.
